St Thomas Greek Church Dome Unveiled
The renovation of the St. Thomas Greek Church construction project was a unique job that presented some interesting challenges for our team. The project was spread throughout the entire church, inside and out, with the main event being the fabrication and installation of a new octagonal dome in the ceiling of the sanctuary. This was a new endeavor for The Bannett Group and resulted in the beautiful 30 foot dome, which allows light to penetrate the church via 8 windows located along the dome walls. In addition to the dome, a new 36 foot bell tower was constructed outside, with corresponding exterior brick work and dome to match the rest of the building. Interior renovations were also completed, including new carpeting in the sanctuary, painting, and the construction an arched barrel ceiling effect in the narthex of the church.
