Aleph Adult Day Center Renovated
The beautifully renovated new Aleph Adult Day Center is an integral part of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and its family of agencies’ disability services programs. The renovation of an empty, unusable 21,000 square foot building, along with the addition of 2,500 square feet of new space, transformed the project into a dynamic, modern facility, eager to brighten the lives of all the new patrons. The thoughtfully designed layout of the adult care center construction project provides ample space for a variety of engaging activities, from arts and crafts to gentle exercise classes, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Specializing in teaching life skills to adults with disabilities, the center features a 500 square foot commercial sized learning kitchen, as well as a salon skills training room, retail training room, home skills room and café training skills area. The 8,000 square foot gym was fully renovated, complete with an indoor walking track and a new “city scape” theme. Improvements were made to the outside as well, including a bold new roof for the entire building. Additional new outdoor features include two covered patio areas, an outdoor walking track and a charming 4-hole mini golf course.
